Krista Noelle Kolosow

December 9, 1977 - October 30, 2007

Krista Noelle Kolosow died at home in the arms of her mother on Tuesday afternoon October 30, 2007 after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer, she was 29. Born December 9, 1977 in Huntington Beach, CA, she was the daughter of Pamela Carpenter of Raleigh and Alexander Kolosow of Huntington Beach. She was engaged to Jared Kennison of Raleigh. At the time of her illness, she was an administrative assistant at the Wake County Medical Society.

A devoted Christian, she was an active member of New Community Church of Raleigh who was loved for her sharp wit, compassion and willingness to put the needs of others before her own. She was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan who bled Dodgers Blue. She was also an avid movie buff who loved to travel and cook.

Krista was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December 2002. After surgery she continued her full life helping others and working as District Manager of Goodwill Industries in Long Beach, California. Her first recurrence was in August 2005. After the 2nd surgery she decided to move to Raleigh, NC to be with her mother as she received chemo treatment at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Krista's wonderful fiance moved back to Raleigh to be close to her as they began to plan for a life together. Krista remained in remission for a year. She lived that life to the fullest. She was an angel. Even though she was desperately sick, she would always ask "How are you doing today?" Krista is and will always be my angel. May we continue to walk together towards a cure for this horrible disease.
